GREAT AIRBORNE TROOP CARRIER PHOTO GROUP

This is another group that I have had for quite a while because of the personally taken photographs. There are only a few post cards and a set of Operation Varsity commercial photographs. I say commercial as they were war time photos that were reproduced for the GI's and titled and numbered. The rank and air force and troop carrier are all war time production along with the brass and DI. The leather USA Europe patch is 5 1/4" in wide. The photographs are A of training in the states and when he first got to England about 40-50 each B photos of England again 40-50 photographs and C about 40 to 60 photos of Berlin after the war. All photo graphs are taken by him and quite a few have a brief description on the back. There are great many of wrecked German buildings some of destroyed tanks, armored cars, 88 artillery pieces, Hitlers balcony etc. I always want to go to Germany and to Berlin and find the buildings in the photos but that will never happen so all is for sale. D large photos of the Elfie Tower from a plane, large photos of Tempelhof Air Port and here is another set of photos I forgot to show. The buildings still have the big birds and swaz on them. There is a troop transport service guide to Berlin showing a map and lettered building with a index describing what the buildings were used for. There are various newspapers form training is the us to ship board papers and a English paper back from Manchester showing photos of the Blitz damage. Also a Gulfport Field Mississippi class photo book of his training. A great collection Condition very good
