U.S. LUCKY FLOUR SHIPPING BAG

There I am walking along the sidewalk to the Antique shop in Sackets Harbor and laying on the side of the building are a bunch of old Flour Bags. Imagine my surprise to see this Swastika Lucky Flour bag along with some other bags. To be honest I did a double take like who would put a Nazi Swastika out in the open like that. It turns out that this particular Lucky Flour “Swastike” was the brand name used by the Federal Mill & Elevator Co. of Lockport N.Y. From 1900 to 1910. I know its not a Military item and has nothing to do with the NSDAP crowd but dam what a great looking Swaz. Makes you think someone in Germany saw this bag because they sure copied the artistic design of this Flour bag for their own use. Condition very good +++
