CIVIL WAR STYLE N.C.O. UNFINISHED BELT BUCKLE

Picked this up recently a old period unfinished Brass NCO style buckle with the eagle wing tips thru the wreath. This buckle is die struck and of excellent quality and sharp features.The reverse does not have the belt loop for the belt or the belt hook for the catch. This is not a recent strike but was done most likely after the civil war as it is die struck not cast brass. Shows great original age to the finish. Included with this is a unfinished eagle and shield also in Bronze die struck. I have not found out what the Eagle and Shield are for. For some reason I have aflways liked the items that never made the final steps to completion and these two fit the bill. Condition very good +++
