RARE SOLID SILVER CIA MEDALLION FOR HONORABLE SERVICE

This Solid Silver CIA medallion for Honorable Service to Carl Batchelder for thirty years of service is enclosed in Lucite to protect and offer a better display. Anything from the CIA is very difficult to find, what is nice about this is I found an obituary for Mr. Batchelder that confirms his 30 years of service at the CIA as a personal officer. We will never know if he just hired people or spy’s. As a mater of fact it is highly unusual to find anything referring to an employee of the CIA. The obituary list the above and also included a photo of him. The friend that I purchased the medallion from was amazed that I fond anything about him at all. The Medallion is the early style as it is 999 fine silver I was told that the new Medallions are plated silver. The Medallion is serial numbered 5020 and was made in 1985 by Medallic Art Co. The Lucite Block is 3.75’ High and Wide 1.3/16”thick. The Medallion itself is 3”in diameter and 3/16” thick. Condition Rare, excellent
