PA MEX BORDER, WWI MEDAL GROUP TO I JOHNSTON
This really is a neat little group to Pvt. Isaac Johnston ASN 1,252,910 Battery B 108 Field Artillery 28th Division. There is a complete service history in the PA Nat Guard and but I will just concentrate on the Mexican and WWI medals.
His Federal Mexican Border Service Medal is Numbered 15915 and is confirmed thru the records. His Pa State Mexican service medal number 9078 that is accompanied by two documents one is a copy of his PA Mexican Emergency Call of the President June 8, 1916 Service card listing his Mexican service as a private in Battery B 2nd F. A. The second document list the serial number 9078 of the 6:00 rim of the medal.
His WWI Victory Medal with Bars Oise-Aisne, Ypres-Yls, Meuse-Argonne, Defensive Section is confirmed with a copy of the V.M. application to him. His PA WWI Victory medal is not numbered. i will photo all the documents as this is a great documented group.
