BRONZE MOVABLE PROPELLER, CHERBOURG FRANCE

This is an unusual desk ornament something that I have collected for years and rotate them on my desk. This Bronze movable propeller has one blade engraved Ateliers J. Hamel Cherbourg for the French shipbuilder located at the Cherbourg port. The propeller measures 2.25 wide and 3.5 high mounted on a bronze base. I would believe that this nautical item would be before WWI. There are no maker marks on the ornament, I presume it was made in house. Great patina same finish all over. Condition very good ++
