IMPERIAL NAVY JACK FLAG

The official name for this Imperial War Flag flag is Kriegsschiffgosch used from 1871 thru 1918. The flag was then used by the Weimar Republic up to 1921. This flag measures 39” high and 61” long. The flag is made of worsted wool and there are two minor rips in the flag one by the string that is attaching a maker tag to the flag. The tag is something that I can not read. The flag is not finished as there is no edging for the rope and no reinforcements of extra rows of stitching. This is a rare flag and the first I have owned during my years of collecting.
