U.S.A. PHOTO ALBUM SAN FRANCISCO TO BELGIUM W/US ARMY MARKEDBASE BALL GLOVE

This is a non combat photo album but it does cover one soldiers career thru the war. What is really neat is included with the album is his issued and marked and dated base ball glove and a hard ball. I have to admit that this is the first base ball glove I have ever had. It is stamped into the leather strap on the outside U.S.10-1945 so I guess that he wasn’t one of the first to come home. Must have been helping rebuild Germany.The photo album has around 200 photos and even one of Bob Hope just in his trousers, doesn’t look too good undressed. There are several photos of the base ball team using the same glove but I really do not know which soldier was the owner of the album. So your mission if you accept it is to figure out who is in the most photos both in training and back home after the war. One collector offered me $50.00 for the Hope Photograph Condition used good +++
