FIRE POLICE DD HELMET WITH NECK SHIELD

This DD Fire Police Helmet with the Neck Shield has the Bordered Police Eagle Decal that would rate in the 90’s%. The Swaz Decal would rate in the 80’s %. The exterior black finish shows usage with typical scratches on the top and some on each side. This helmet does not have the three stamped holes for the Aluminum Crown. The four flat head liner rivets are fastened to the man made liner band with the orange sponge material between the leather and the band. I did not find any maker marks stamped into the helmet shell. The liner is starting to seperate on the front side from dry rot. The remainder of the liner is in good shape. The liner is stamped size 57. The original tie string is gone being replaced by a shoe lace at some point. The crown pad is brown leather and has the later straps to hold it in place. The leather neck shield is formed flat as that is the way it was placed on the shelf. The leather is in a very playable condition and will hang properly in time if mounted on a head or stand. There is not chin strap and I do not see that it ever had one as there are no mounting tabs for it. Condition good ++
