WWII SOLID BRASS DESTROYER DESK ORNAMENT

At least that is what I think it is supposed to be and a Japanese one at that. This is a sub tender or maintenance ship product. Someone took a solid brass bar stock and carved the image of a ship with guns on it and port holes along the side? Then they attempted to carve Japanese charters into the side of the ship. The ship is 5 ¼” long 1 ¾” high mounted on some sort of man made material. Condition very good
