WW2 USAAF KIA DOCUMENT GROUP
This is an interesting group to a fighter Pilot serving in China. First Lieutenant John C. Spangler serial number 0-665239 of the 14th Air Force 4th Fighter Group 17th Fighter Squadron. The mission he was lost on was to Nanchang on April 14th, 1945 for a bombing and strafing mission where he was lost to unknown causes. His fighter plane was a F6KS serial number 44-11919 nicknamed “Connie”. Included in the set is the Purple Heart and President Accolade documents and the front page of the missing air crew report. Condition very good+
