306 BOMB GROUP 369 BOMB SQUADRON GROUP

I saw this group at a gun show in Florida and I had to buy it, one of the few items I was able to buy down there. What caught my attention is the engraving work on the aluminum cigarette case. The case appears to be decorated by hand and measuring 5’ Wide and 3” high. The front has the 369th Bomb Squadron fighting and bitin mascot patch etched and also list the unit and the 306th bomb group. The back of the case has a B17 engraved while the inside has a women on the front cover and a flower on the the back cover. This is the best theater made cigarette case I have ever seen. The 369th patch is 5” in diameter made on a light blue cloth background. There are two pin back pilots wings both sterling, and a set of 2nd Lt. Bars, US, and wing propellers for the uniform. Just a great looking group. There is all kinds of information on the 369 squadron including day to day for the whole war available on line. Condition very good +++
