WWII US ARMY 5TH ARMY 16TH EVAC. HOSPITAL DESK SET

I bought this fifth army 16TH evac. Hospital desk set in 1998 and it has been on my desk ever since. Me and my desk ornaments will always be one of the last items I sell. In this case I found a much better one that suits my love of eagles much better. This three piece marble construction is rather unique as I have seen a lot of marble ashtrays from Italy this is the best of the marble ornaments I have com across.The marble used is white, blue and a nice rose color to duplicate the 5th Army patch. The center section is 8'" wide x 5" deep x 3 1/2" high and consist of a cigarette colder the 5th division patch, s stand to put a box of matches on and a small ash tray or a catch all as I used it for. The two end units are the same 3" wide3 7/8"deep and4. 1/2" high with the 5 Army patch and a US Army helmet on the flat with the 16TH EVAC. Hosp engraved on the front edge of both pieces. So you can tell that I still like it but time foe it to go. Condition very good +++
