ORDER OF THE FOUNDERS & PATROITS OF AMERICA EARLY NAMED MEDAL

At one point in my collecting I decided to collect Society medals and then they published a book on them and off I went. What I found is that the medals are hard to find in good condition so I soon gave up on this side avenue of collecting. This Society medal for the Order of the Founders & Patriots of America was made by B.B.& B. Co. Pat. date 9-1897 on the broach. The name Fred A Plum no. 215 is also engraved on the broach. The medal is an early manufacture and issued medal with such a low number. The complete medal is in outstanding condition with the nice heavy watered ribbon. The broach is with the real early style catch just a fancy c hook the pin and and extra pin is mounted to keep the medal in place. The ribbon ring and swivel mounting attachment appear to be gold. The sun ray medal also appears to be of some gold content. The enamel work on both sides is first class with no dings. This a very beautiful medal. Condition excellent
