CANDIAN 6A AIRCRAFT COMPASS AND WATCH HOLDER
Two items from my Aircraft parts collection, when I purchased the compass I was told it came from a Spitfire airplane. Now having done some research I find it was indeed used by that plane but also others including bombers and even early British tanks. So what we have is a Canadian issued compass with the RCAF brass tag and serial number on it. There is a winged decal on the side that says overhauled by Phoenix. The bottom has a decal for the RCAF inventory? The compass works with fluid in it and the outer disk moves freely. The second item was sold to me as a carrier for a aircraft watch or compass. Never figured it out but nicely made. Condition very good ++
