U.S. M1 WWII FRONT SEAM FIXED BALE HELMET

This well used fixed bale front seam M1 helmet has been around. It surprise me that of all the Army items the MI Grand and The MI helmet were re used until they were worn out. I had a late war M1 helmet in Viet Nam in 1967 just had new straps and a new liner and it worked out just fine.Anyways this M1 has what appears only one coat of paint over the original finish. The Captain bars are sloppy applied. The front seam band has lost all its paint around the bottom and shows up like a nice target. The fixed bales are present and not damaged. The inside of the helmet has a name in paint but from when who knows. The Westinghouse liner is with the front hole for id's and it has the proper early straps. The sweat band is absent. The liner also shows much use and there is a small tear on one side. Condition good
