MEX, WWI U.S. NAVY MEDAL GROUP

I have also had this group for a while to Charles Benter, I have not researched this group at all. It includes 1-Mexico Service Medal 1911-1917 no.9257 2- Victory Medal with Atlantic Fleet Bar 3- Good Conduct medal to CSC no. 22794 Charles Benter U.S.S. Idaho May 14,1912 w/ bars Recg Sta Navy Yd Wash DC / Receiving Station on US Navy Yd. Washington DC / Receiving Ship BAND / R.S. Philadelphia Two of the bars are the old style with the flat bar catch and two with the pin and catch. All have his information on the reverse.The three medals are mounted on a brass strip with a long pin and catch. There is a fourth medal space but when I received the group that medal was missing. 4 / WW2 Victory medal. 5 / small pin and pendent HMS Sheffield I presume a souvenir from that British Ship. My U.S. Navy collectors have never seen a Receiving bar with Band listed on it. Condition very good ++
