RATTY ARMY BUCKLE AND BELT

Normally I would throw out this buckle but I have to admit what drew my attention to it was that the Swaz was filed off. I asked the vets daughter about it and she said that when he father came home he put his foot locker in the basement and there it stayed. This buckle has no maker mark that I could see. The buckle is covered with rust with some paint on the front and the reverse. The swaz was nicely filed off. The belt is in even worst condition than the buckle. This I did throw out but then thought if someone is going to buy this ratty buckle they deserved the ratty belt. So did the German Soldier file the swaz off or did the veteran deface the buckle? Just about everything that came out of the foot locker was moldy and rusty most of stuff was thrown out. Condition Ratty --
