U.S. NAVY DECK HELMET HGU 25/9 DECORATED

The heart of the group is the HGU-25/P Deck Helmet. The helmet is used but the front protective shield has DUKE painted on it. The rear shield has HARLEY DAVIDSON painter on it. So he is covering the duke John Wayne and the Hells Angles or he considers himself a Duke and likes to ride Harleys. Anyway this is the best embossed deck crew helmet I have seen in years. Along with the group are five Plaques with three listing the following ships, CG-47 USS TICONDEROGA, DD-965 USS KINKAID, CVL-COWPENS all named to Richard C. Vorpagel and framed certificate for passing thru the Panama Canal on the ship DD-979 USS CONOLLY. There is a Navy Achievement Medal Award Certificate for a gold star for a second award while serving on the CG-63 USS COWPENS. Plus a official letter of being the Top Performer at SIMA, Norfolk when leaving for his next assignment on DDG-933 USS KIDD. Last is a Zippo Lighter with his name in graves with the dates 6-14-79 / 12-14-81 while on DD-979 USS CONOLLY with an impressed side view of the ship. There is a military grade US flag with the military stamp on the white border. The brass clip and catch are still covered with a plastic protective bag. I bought the group for the Deck Helmet that so impressed me, all the rest just makes it nicer. Condition helmer good rest very good ++++
