BAVARIAN 1898 DRESS BAYONET

Without a doubt this is the finest 1898 Dress Bayonet that I have ever owned. I started to take the photos with the bright sun but in Syracuse the sun never last for a long time. This chrome plated bayonet is just such a looker the scabbard leather is straight and ridged with no nicks or finish lost. The fittings are held on with staples as they should be, there are no unit marking on the top scabbard fitting. The Bavarian Teoddel is in great shape with full color. The Pommel, backstrap and guard are of one casting and chrome plated. The wood grips are in great shape and they fit like a glove. The blade like every thing else is great shape except for a rust spot on the lower forward edge that has tamed a very small nip out of the edge. The upper false edge is not sharpened like the rest of the blade. There is a WKC knights head Logo near the green buffers by the cross guard. Condition very good ++++
