BOOK THE MEXICAN WAR DIARY GENERAL GEORGE McCLELLAN

I am in the middle of reading the book I have had it for about 17 years and I am just getting around to it. This book is as the title list it General George McClellan s diary of his time during the Mexican war. Of course he was not a General then but still interesting. The book was edited by William Starr Myers and on the first page is a dedication “Presented by Wm Starr Myers June 27 1932” the next page has an early photo of McClellan as a Lt. And his father an younger brother dressed as a girl with a bonnet and long hair which was the custom at that time. The book is interesting and to be honest like most military collector's I know little about our little war with Mexico other than the outcome. Just finished a book on William Tecumseh Sherman who missed the Mexican war and was afraid that he would never go any place in the army. the book has 98 pages of heavy stock paper, and was a former Long Lake Library Book. The card for taking the book out only had two entries one in 1960 and the other 1997. I think that there more letters in the book title than live at long lake. Condition good ++ will be better after I wash the cover
