BANNERMAN & SON CATALOG DATED 1949

I like to think all military collectors have heard of Bannerman's Military Supplier based in NY City.Mr. Bannerman bought military surplus and after the civil war bought all the Union and Confederate material he could find. His early catalogs list complete cannon outfits everything but the horse. He had everything from all countries and sadly it was before my time that I never purchased anything from him. He bought an Island in the NY City Harbor and used in-exploded artillery shells for breakwaters and lined the shore line with them. Anyways this catalog from 1949 still has large quantities of civil war smalls and even list some Nazi items. Included in this is a supplement dated 1952 must be near the end of the company. Anyways its a fascinating catalog to look at there is also a lot of reference work in it on early weapons. a great time can be had wishing you could go back in time. Condition fair to good cover has been scotched taped on
