The scabbard and fittings on this sword are very beautiful in my opinion! The hilt and scabbard fittings are a gilded brass based piece and really looks awesome! The condition of the hilt is wonderful, it has a great color, is very fancy with the eagle and fancy foliage. The initials are on the obverse hilt “M.S.” which I think stands for Medical Staff. The scabbard is pretty nice but does have some age and wear. The blade is well worn but holds it all together and we can tell it is made by a rare maker.
